
On Thursday, June 26th at 12 p.m. when the United States Men’s National Team finishes group play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil against Germany, the Town of Cary, Carolina RailHawks and Backyard Bistro will host a Watch Party at WakeMed Soccer Park. Over 1,800 fans attended the watch party that saw the USA tie Portugal 2-2. The Watch Party will have the match displayed on the massive 38ft x 20ft, state-of-the-art videoboard in the South Endzone and will be the place to gather with friends and family in passionate support of the U.S. National Team. The event is free to the general public. In addition, parking at WakeMed Soccer Park for this event will be free and a full concessions menu will be available.
"This will be one of the biggest matches for the U.S. Men’s National Team," said RailHawks President Curt Johnson. “The first two watch parties were great events and we want to give fans the opportunity to gather together and cheer the USA onto victory.”
The East Suites and Party Decks will host an exclusive event for fans to purchase a $10 ticket in advance by clicking here. The $10 package includes catered BBQ provided by Backyard Bistro, a drink ticket and access to the suites and party decks. The Conductor’s Deck bar will be open for additional drink purchases and the match will be displayed on the party deck’s high definition televisions and the projectors in the suites.
A full concessions menu from Backyard Bistro will be available at 11 a.m. featuring BBQ, Italian sausage and beers on tap. Outside food or beverages will not be allowed inside the stadium.
The RailHawks host Landon Donovan and the LA Galaxy tonight in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at 7 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park Koka Booth Stadium, Field 2.
