Cary, NC (March 31, 2017)- The North Carolina Football Club, along with the Town of Cary, is pleased to announce a new sponsorship deal with Sahlen Packing Company. As part of the deal, the main stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park will be renamed Sahlen’s Stadium. Additionally, Sahlen’s will be the exclusive hot dog provider to the stadium.
“We are very pleased to partner with Sahlen Packing Company,” said North Carolina FC President and GM Curt Johnson. “We have worked closely with the Sahlen family during the acquisition of the NC Courage, and we are delighted to continue the relationship while showcasing the Sahlen’s brand at our stadium.”
The Sahlen family owned the 2016 NWSL Champion Western New York Flash which was acquired by the North Carolina Football Club in January of 2017 and subsequently re-branded as the North Carolina Courage. On April 29, the club will honor the Sahlen family with a pre-game ceremony highlighting their championship season and contribution to the sport.
